May 29th 1954 was the day that the Rishton Cricket Club Supporters Committee officially presented the Score Box to the cricket club.
There have been a few changes over the years, the scoring is now all digital with LED numbering, and there is no longer access through the score box from Highfield Road onto the ground, but the structure is very much today as it was in 1954.
