A big thank you to all those who took part in this years “Buzzer Music Quiz” and also those who turned out to spectate and support the event.
The quiz took place over two nights (Wednesday and Thursday) with heats, semi-finals and then the grand final.
The most thrilling contest (and the most stressful for myself asking the questions) was the second semi-final, where a team captained by Ronnie Auker defeated last years champions captained by Pete Sumner. With two questions left Pete’s team were one point in front, but with quick fingers and correct answers Ronnies team got those last two questions to run out 57-54 winners, moving into the final to play a team led by Glenn Fox.
With the final being yet another well contested match, Glenn Fox’s team ran out winners on the night.
Congratulations to Glenn and his team mates Tony, Brent, and Oliver on your victory.
Commiserations go to Ronnie and his fellow team mates Michelle, Mary and Mark who fought valiantly on the night.
I’m sure both teams will be back next year, with Ronnie hoping for a different outcome.
